Given a conjecture, decide whether it is true or false. If true provide justification. If false, provide a counterexample. 3. Given a number sentence with a single variable or a repeated variable, use relational thinking to find a solution. 4. Demonstrate using pictures and words how to solve for unknowns using Hands- on Equations. Remember the three types of linear equations: conditional, identity, & contradiction. 5. Represent a problem using a system of equations and solve using substitution. 6. Represent and solve a problem using an inequality in one variable. 7. Represent the solution set to an inequality with a number line. 8. Represent a problem with an equation in two variables. Identify the independent and dependent variables. Graph the solutions of the equation. 9. Represent a problem with a system of equations and solve by graphing. 10. Represent a problem with an inequality in two variables. Graph the solution set. 11. Evaluate functions and recognize/create examples and non-examples of functions. 12. Simplify problems involving exponents. 13. Add, Subtract, Multiply, and Factor polynomials. Be ready to explain any of the methods that were used in class to demonstrate these operations. 14. Given a t-chart of data, decide what type of function it represents.
