LA SALLE UNIVERSITY – INTEGRATED SCHOOL Oral Communication Project Plan Proposal Script Lesson 4: Evaluate / Let’s write a speech Julia: Stress is a concealed enemy that many people are constantly battling with. People tend to get stressed as a result of over-working, pressure, anxiety, death of someone, experiencing hate, bills, and many more, which then causes physical, emotional or psychological strain. Raniel: Several senior high school students are constantly struggling with stress and many of them tend to prioritize more their due dates regardless of their well-being. Over Studying can cause long term physical symptoms similar to what many people experience as burnout, including poor sleep, headaches, stomach aches, and digestive issues. Elisha: Every problem has a solution that just needs to be uncovered. Hence, a great way to prevent or mitigate stress is to indulge yourself in Stress management. Alexa: Stress management refers to the tools, strategies, or techniques that reduce stress and aims to help people optimize their well-being by adopting stress management techniques in response to stressful events. Elisha: What do we do? Well here are tips to manage stress! Keep off Social Media: Julia: A frequent exercise prolongs one’s life, allowing students to improve their brain health, manage weight, preclude timely diseases, strengthen muscles and bones.It allows you, as a student, to have a healthy leisure and forget the problems once for a while. John: Taking time for yourself, by yourself, allows your mind to recharge, improves concentration, and makes you more productive. Alexa: Life is relentlessly hectic, but setting time aside for your hobbies can really help to sooth your mind to prevent overworking. Elisha: Lack of sleep can cause you a worsening of mental illnesses like depression and anxiety, which is not good for your Mental and physical health and will end up having yourself get even more stress. Raniel: Important or unimportant reasoning, It’s better to have at least 8-10 hours of sleep to avoid any problems the next day. Implement an Healthy food regime Niegel: Our bodies get all of their important nutrients from the food we eat. This provides our bodies with the necessary energy to carry out our daily tasks. And all of these nutrients can only be obtained from nutritious foods, not from anything we eat. Julia: Thus, a meal plan enables us to regulate the food we consume, preventing us from over consumption. When we are stressed from school, eating healthy should be a priority for us to avoid complications and energize our enervated body and to cope with stressful events. Connecting with others Elisha: Socializing or having at least someone to accompany you can help you maintain a less stressful feeling and more of a comfortable bond Raniel: It helps you remain calm knowing that you have that one person in your life who you talk to and trust them with almost everything about your day which can help you let it all out John: Whether it’s your Family, friends or your significant other, letting out your feelings and anxiety about the things that made you stressed. IMPORTANCE OF STRESS MANAGEMENT Alexa: Stress management can improve a person's overall health, relationships, and ability to deal with stressful situations in the future. Niegel: While some stress is normal, excessive stress can be harmful because it makes it difficult for people to live their lives as they wish. Elisha: Stress management is essential for achieving overall body balance and lowering the risk of stress-related illnesses. Stress relief will enable you to maintain a more positive and calm attitude.
