Formula for computing the percentages of age-sex categories: (population in age and sex class) x 100 population in all age classes of same sex Age dependency ratio: the number of people in the economically dependent ages (conventionally, younger than fifteen and sixty-five and older) per one hundred people in the economically productive ages (conventionally, fifteen through sixty-four).
