The “About Us” webpage, located on each server, represented the organization’s objectives for success, a statement of future directionality, and a set of standards that outlined the behavioral expectations of those within the company (Cellucci, Wiggins, & Farnsworth, 2014, p.32-33). Their websites uphold a sense of transparency that reduces any challenges in uncovering what they stand to achieve.However, it was quite surprising to see how many of these organizations did not include all three components which highlight the organization’s goals, aspirations, and fundamentals. The Keck Medical Center of USC and the City of Hope both did not include a vision statement, whereas, the Good Samaritan Hospital and the Belmont Village Senior Living facility were also missing a list of their values. An organization’s clarity of these three elements will outline its objectives and set it apart from other competing medical facilities (Cellucci, Wiggins, & Farnsworth, 2014, p.34). The exclusion of one or more components may leave potential stakeholders questioning the organization’s intentions, which could hinder its growth and success. Commonality A common promotional statement, generally highlighted in a healthcare organization’s mission statement is their ability to provide quality services and treatment to their patients. For example, Cedars-Sinai states that they are committed to improving the health statuses of the community through its “leadership and excellence in delivering quality healthcare services” (CedarsSinai, 2020).
