Copyright is a type of protection to safeguard the creator’s, owner’s, or holder’s exclusive right to claim an original work as their own, the work is in a tangible medium. A. Introduction Apple Computers, Inc., were founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. Based on the article of Library of the Congress, Apple Computers were found on 1st of April, 1976. The two founders made their vision into reality of new breed of computers that are responsible for revolutionary of computer functions specially the Graphical User Interface (GUI) of computers. In 1977 made their first Apple computer named “Apple 1”. Then the computer that is responsible for revolutionizing the industry, by making Apple 2, with the user friendly and first ever computer that is colored. On the other hand, Microsoft Corporation was found by both Harvard Dropouts, Allen Paul and Bill Gates. According to Cowling (2016), microsoft were making computer softwares to be developed, with also licensing and supporting different computer softwares for their products and services. Microsoft was found on the 4th of April 1975. They are responsible for the existing Operating Systems Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11. Included are the 2 different software applications that they posses, the microsoft word, powerpoint, publisher, and etc. Both companies are responsible for revolutionizing the industry. Apple were creating personalized computers and different features om computers, such as the mouse and colored computers. Microsoft was developing operating systems that contains special features. Although that microsoft does not directly make computers, they partnered with different companies making computers. B. The Case Since the launch of the Apple II in 1976, it was a successful hit and sales were pumped. Because Apple II has colors and different other features, that other personal computers does not have. In the later of November 1985, Microsoft released Microsoft 1.0 according to the website of Thomson Reuters (2019), individuals was alarmed because they noticed that numerous features of the Apple II was copied.
