Completing Your Assignment What am I required to do in this assignment? You are required to develop a research proposal for the dissertation you plan to complete in Semester 2. Your Research Proposal should include the following: * — Identify one or more research questions, and the research aim and objectives, based on your initial literature review. © A justification of your choice of the subject describing the context and the rationale (why you think it is important to research this specific topic and comment on the potential use and benefits of this research) ¢ — Adiscussion of potential issues you may encounter during the research process, such as accessibility to the data, time and resources needed to complete the research, validity of the data, and potential ethical issues * ~~ Aproject plan with a time line. Guidelines and Additional Information The research proposal is an individual piece of work. Your research must be secondary research, which uses only secondary (published) data and information. Therefore, you must not conduct any primary research (i.e. no questionnaires and interviews to collect primary data! Your secondary data could be the primary data of secondary sources you may want to use for your research - discuss this with your tutor for more clarity. You need to conduct an investigation into what secondary data are available before confirming your research question(s). Please note that your selected topic must be relevant to your chosen pathway, e.g., Marketing, Finance, Business, etc. You should consider the various research methods available to develop a sound and feasible plan to carry out your research project. You are recommended to use the agreed template to structure your assignment. Assessment 2 is a research proposal, which will be used to develop into the dissertation in Semester 2.
