Signature: Name: Date: NOTES โ€ข Always measure the currents by measuring the voltage drop across the resistors โ€ข Keep all connections as short as possible. โ€ข Before applying DC power supplies to the circuit make sure that they are all set to zero volts. โ€ข Switch off the power supplies before making any change in the circuit. โ€ข Always measure a resistor โ€œout of circuitโ€ โ€ข Use a pencil to draw all the graphs. Set the 10 Kฮฉ variable resistor R2 to achieve ID = 2 mA current. Measure VGS and make sure it is >= 0.7 V. If this is not the case, replace the transistor. VGS:________ 2- Using the signal generator, set vsrc so that vout is 1 V (pk-pk) sine wave, keeping the frequency at 10 KHz. Measure voltage gain Av as vout (pk-pk) / vsrc (pk-pk). Neglect 1/gm in the formula of Av for calculations: vsrc (pk-pk) :_________ Av(calc.):___________ Av(meas.):___________ 3- Observe vsrc and vout simultaneously. Measure the phase difference between vsrc and vout.
