I have read and understood the NOTES section. Signature: Name: Date: NOTES โข Always measure the currents by measuring the voltage drop across the resistors โข Keep all connections as short as possible. โข Before applying DC power supplies to the circuit make sure that they are all set to zero volts. โข Switch off the power supplies before making any change in the circuit. โข Always measure a resistor โout of circuitโ โข Use a pencil to draw all the graphs. Set the 10 Kฮฉ variable resistor R2 to achieve ID = 2 mA current. Measure VGS and make sure it is >= 0.7 V. If this is not the case, replace the transistor. VGS:________ 2- Using the signal generator, set vsrc so that vout is 1 V (pk-pk) sine wave, keeping the frequency at 10 KHz. Measure voltage gain Av as vout (pk-pk) / vsrc (pk-pk). Neglect 1/gm in the formula of Av for calculations: vsrc (pk-pk) :_________ Av(calc.):___________ Av(meas.):___________ 3- Observe vsrc and vout simultaneously. Measure the phase difference between vsrc and vout. Phase of vout (calc.):_________ Phase of vout (meas.):_________ Figure 1 4- We will measure the Rin by emulating a 10 Kฮฉ variable resistor as a source resistance. We know that: ๐ฃ๐๐ข๐ก(๐ค๐๐กโ ๐
