Francis Carol Abella Reflection Assessment tools in the affective domain in the particular are used to assess attitudes, interest, motivation and self efficacy have been developed. It is essentially requires an individual to provide an account of his/her attitude or feelings toward a concept or idea or people. In our topic last Saturday, I really feel happy because we discussed it very well in a matter that it was organized and full of teamwork. I know our topic help our co-students to fully understand what assessment is. What I have learned from our topic is that assessment is not all about grades , it's definitely help improve teaching and learning. It also gives feedback to teacher's and students that help them both to adjust learning strategies to achieve goals. Time will come , if I will be a professional teacher someday , I will be a reflective and always think of how I can help my students learn best. I will also Plan first before I Do, Check and Act the information that I gather to help continuously improve the teaching learning process. As what Fersten and Fernsten (2005) said, prior to assessing students work, particularly when a grade is at stake it is crucial to set clear guidelines about the nature of work that is expected. So if students understand why they are being asked to complete a particular project, they will likely be more engaged while completing it. Almarie K. Jumdani Reflection Development of assessment tools are certain good practices that are considered in developing instruments. This instruments are used to assess attitudes, interest, motivation and self-efficacy. In this chapter, can we consider it a useful instrument or not. As what the group 4 discussed the topic of development of assessment tools, I can say that it was very useful at the same time it was helpful. Useful because teacher's really need to consider the race as a diverse language, religion or even age in way of teaching because it is their duty to facilitate the learner in the classroom. It is helpful because teacher's really need commitment in dealing with his/her learners. As what I have learned, assessment is the process of getting information about what and how the students learn and using the information to guide instruction and boost learning. So being a future teacher someday , I will assess my students through aligning my assessment with my learning goals, outcomes and instruction. I will always think critically of how I can help my students learn best. Griesbaum and Gort(2000) describe feedback as an important instructional tool because it directs learners attention to certain aspects of their performance. When learners received information on how they perform they an review and enhance their performance in a manner that they will improve and apply it in their daily lives. So , we should always put in our mind that assessment will gives feedback to teacher and students that help them both adjust their teaching and learning strategies to achieve learning goals.
