The Prevalence - 1.1% of the population over the age of 18 (NIMH) 51 million people worldwide suffer from schizophrenia PSYCHOLOGICAL & SOCIAL REASONS can be connected with the human personality/their adaptive skills some psychological traits (isolation, passivity, suspiciousness, the inclination to reasoning on abstract themes) (Bebbington & Kuipers, 1994; NCCMH, 2014) impact of the (social status, family) (Van & Krabbendam, 2004) low social status, forced poverty and unemployment (Ross, 2017; Murray et al, 2002). ONCE AGAIN… A BIT NATURE, A BIT NURTURE! Psychological and environmental factors can trigger schizophrenia if the individual is genetically predisposed (Nicol & Gottesman, 1983).
