KLAINMAN THE SEVENTH MIRACLE | 1 THE SEVENTH MIRACLE | MOTIVATION DIRECTOR’S MOTIVATION Nowadays, my two great passions are cinema and my roots. The first, which gives me the freedom to create and bring my stories to life and the second that motivates me day by day to become who I aspire to be.This film is about an Holocaust survivor from World War II, based on the book The Seventh Miracle, who lived one of the the worst catastrophes of humanity. During my education, I studied the subject Shoah (Holocaust), a subject that taught me a lot and stimulated my curiosity to continue researching, listening to testimonies and watching documentaries, to go deeper into what happened. Finally the opportunity to make this film came and to be able to put together my two biggest personal interests, not only in order to make movies but also to raise awareness and not to forget. To do justice. To leave a mark. To create records. We managed to get the support of Jorge Klainman, author of the book, who is fortunately looking forward to working with us. Bringing such a sad and moving experience to the table encouraged him to want this project to become real. THE SEVENTH MIRACLE | 4 THE SEVENTH MIRACLE | AESTHETICS The film will be told in five major stages. Pre-war, war, post-war, etc. The aesthetics of this feature film will be divided into four main resources, on one hand there is the resource of interviews, where you will see several people commenting on the story of the survivor. Both Jorge, the survivor, some family members and a historian who will contextualize the story told. On the other hand, the resource of fiction, works a lot to put in images of the atrocities experienced by the survivor and stop imagining them. At the same time this resource of fiction is going to give the feature film dynamism in complement to the interviews. That means it's not going to be a documentary where there's only interviews and some images. You are going to see the events that succeeded the survivor in the first person. Another resource to be used is illustrations. These will be recreated in several drawn illustrations that the survivor experienced in his own flesh. These will be the beginning of every stage of Jorge's life. And finally the use of archival material, where several documents of Jorge are shown, maps of where he lived, concentration camps, etc. This resource has the power to finish Jorge’s great story and prove that it's a fiction but a true story.
