TERM 9 McClelland's theory of learned needs DEFINITION 9 Achievement: drive to accomplish things when individual receives great satisfaction from personal attainment and goal completion. Power: desire to influence or control other people. Affiliation: desire to be liked by others to receive social approval and to establish close interpersonal relationships. TERM 10 job characteristics model DEFINITION 10 the way jobs are designed produces critical psychological states which in turn affect key personal and work-related outcomes.
