Its beings early in their childhood and continues throughout their adult life. The condition can be inherited through the parents orit can be caused by damage to the brain during prenatal development. There have been many cases where a child was misdiagnosed for having ADHD.Misdiagnosis can happen depending on the age of the developing child.Boys are mainly the one that are diagnosed, because they display more noticeable symptoms. Exercise is effective in reducing cognitive symptoms of ADHD My investigation has led me to believe that Charlie just needs more physical exercise. I do not believe he has ADHD. But his mother because of his hyperactive behavior in class, believes he needs to be on medication. He is not as hyperactive at home, which rules out him having the condition because it is not selective. You cannot turn it on or off, but it can be controlled through medication, meditation, and exercise. Exercise is being investigated as a treatment for children with ADHD (Den Heijer& others, 2017; Grassman& others, 2017; Pan & others, 2018). When you exercise your brain releases neurotransmitters and dopamine. Which helps a person have better and longer attention spans. At least exercising 30 minutes a day can help decrease the severity of ADHD symptoms Young children may display abilities that are characteristic of Piaget’s next stage of cognitive development, the stage of concrete operational thought (Gelman, 1969). The stage is characterized by the development of logical thought. I would advise Charlie to add a physical education class to his schedule and see hoe that works and after a month come back for a follow up. If an activity cannot be added to his schedule he should try exercising at home before or after school. To exercise his brain to release
