COM-100 Analysis of Relational Communication Relationships are very important for every person to have. Although any type of relationship can be a lot of work, it is important for people to have that communication that leads to a close connection with another person. Most of the time, relationships can only get difficult if these people have sufficient dependence between them (Franks 2016). To allow yourself to have these interpersonal relationships will open the door for interpersonal conflicts as well. For me personally, I have a friendship that initiated when we were in fourth grade. Although we did not go to the same school at first, we met through a summer camp that my school held and we became friends quickly. We bonded by playing on the playground together and hanging out together on the field trips. When you’re young it is not very hard to connect and make friends because most kids are nice and everyone wants friends. During the summers were the only times that I was able to see my friend because she went to a different school. It was sad when the summer camp would end and we were not able to see each other anymore but we always got excited to see each other when summer started again. We were good friends but because we did not see each other too often we were not super close yet. When we got to the seventh grade, she was able to come to the same school as me and we even had some classes together. This was very exciting because we were able to build our friendship and become even closer. We started to hang out during school and also outside of school where we would have sleepovers as well as just go to different places to hang out with our group of friends. By this time we were older and were able to have better communication and just real conversations in general. When people talk about high school they usually say that they do not keep the same friends that they had in jr. high school. This got us a little worried because we did question if we would drift apart and that was a sad thought. When high school came around we were able to
