What are usually the 3 causes why couples separate according to the priest? According to the priest, the first reason why couples separate is because of the lack of communication. Couples are two distinct people with different tastes, habits, hobbies, and likes and dislikes. One cannot expect his/her partner to behave or feel the same as them. The prospects of the difficulties ever being resolved are little if both partners are always at odds and have different perspectives about things that cause arguments. The second reason why couples separate is the idea of retreating from a commitment. There will be problems that will come in a marriage, yet couples choose to separate instead of solving the problem. Lastly is the lack of faith in God. Acknowledging God in your relationship does not guarantee an easy journey as a couple. However, it makes you both stronger in trials and more patient with each other. 2. What should be the remedies or solutions to avoid separation? First, the most important solution to avoid separation is to make a deep connection with your partner. Effective communication is the foundation of a strong and healthy marriage and not being able to communicate effectively quickly leads to resentment and frustration for both, impacting all aspects of a marriage. Second, understand the bigger issues in your marriage. It is easy for some couples to back out of a marriage and many of them struggle in their relationships simply because they no longer feel connected to one another. Marriage is a lifelong commitment; it is an unwavering allegiance to a relationship and a partner until death. Lastly, strengthen your personal relationship with God. It will be fulfilling if both couples serve God together. God has given each of us a spiritual gift and a specific calling. Acknowledging God in your relationship does not guarantee an easy journey as a couple, yet it makes you stronger in trials and more patient with your partner. It will also help you to be wiser and more courageous in taking steps toward the future together. 3. What moral lesson did you get from the video? Both the husband and the wife must work together to settle conflicts and strengthen their marriage.
