Corporate Social Responsibility: Google name Ashford University BUS250: Corporate and Social Responsibility Google is one of the companies with the best corporate social responsibility reputations in the year 2017. One of the bigger problems that Google CEO Sundar Pichai and this company has addressed and spoke out about is the inappropriate comments President Donald Trump has made about Muslims and their culture. (Strauss, 2018) Pichai felt strongly about this topic, being born and raised in India, the comments made by President trump hit Pichai home. “Trump proposed that Muslims should be banned from entering the US.” (Logan, 2015) Pichai than stood up for his beliefs and addressed President Trump, indirectly, with the fact that America is a country built of immigrant and there should not be a banned on certain immigrant that want to live the “American dream”. When thinking about internal and external stakeholders every single one can either benefit the company or do the exact opposite. A company large or small is affected greatly by its stakeholders. Three stakeholders that I found to play a big part in Googles success is the users, the employees, along with the communities. Google relies on all three of these stakeholders to succeed and to continue doing so every day. The top priority stakeholder for this company would be its users and consumers. Although these individuals do not necessarily pay for the products Google provides, but the amount they use the company defines Google’s popularity and value. Google has a philosophy they follow to progress and stay the best in corporate social responsibility by stating: “focus on the user and all else will follow.” (Meyer 2017) Making the users the main priority of the company’s success is what makes Googles CSR efforts so great. Google is not only seen as the best company to work for from an outsider’s point of view but also from the company’s employees themselves. Many people would love to work from Google
