Course Instructions โ€“ FINC 3511 โ€“ Summer 2009 (Note: A suggested schedule is provided in the syllabus.) All online lectures, concept review exercises, sample problems, and whiteboard problem solutions are available on the course webpage (http://www.westga.edu/~rbest/finc3511/index3511.html) and in CourseDen. All quizzes and exams are in CourseDen. The general procedure for the class is to watch online lecture presentations (and/or read along in the lecture supplement and/or textbook), complete concept review exercises, work sample problems for each chapter (written and whiteboard solutions are available), and then take related quizzes and exams. To finish on time, follow the schedule listed in the syllabus. The activities outlined in this document are arranged in Learning Modules in CourseDen. Begin by choosing the Learning Modules folder. All quizzes may be taken up to four times with only the highest grade retained. There is no limit on the number of times you may take the sample exams. Exam 1, Exam 2, and the Final Exam may each only be taken one time. The quizzes must be taken in order. For example, Quiz 2 will not be available until you have complete Quiz 1. You must complete Quizzes 1 through 6 and attempt Sample Exam 1 before Exam 1 is available. You must complete Quizzes 7 through 12 and attempt Sample Exam 2 before Exam 2 is available. Finally, you must complete Exam 1 and Exam 2 and attempt the Sample Final Exam before the Final Exam is available. After finishing Module 2, you will be prepared to complete Project Part 1. After finishing Module 4, you will be prepared to complete Project Part 2. You may take Sample Exam 1 as many times as you wish, but you may only take Exam 1 once. The concept questions for both exams come from the same database. The problems for both exams are the same types. If you score well on the sample exam, you should score well on the actual exam. You must at least open the sample exam and submit it for a grade to gain access to the actual exam.
