Course summary: discuss issues impacting the course, results of changes made the previous semester (did they work?), and plans for the next offering of the course that are not mentioned in the table above. Forty-nine students sat for the HESI NCLEX Simulation Exam in Fall 2018, and all but ten students were successful in passing the course and scoring an 850 or higher on Version 1. The ten students continued to meet with Dr. Moore, studied independently, and retook the Fundamentals and Med-Surg HESI in preparation for Version 2. All ten students were successful in passing the course, and all but one scored an 850 or higher on Version 2. All students passed the course and satisfied the Exit exam requirements. Fifty-four students sat for the HESI NCLEX Simulation Exam in Spring 2020, and all but eight students were successful in passing the course and scoring an 850 or higher on Version 1. The Honestly, Dr. Moore encouraging love pats and confidence in us to perform at our highest level. Test taking strategies Having the in class reviews was very helpful. I also found the test taking strategies to be helpful. Everything in the class prepared me for the Exit Exam. The review classes Having to go to remediation after failing the first exit was the worst best thing to happen to me!! I felt most prepared after doing group practice questions with Dr. Moore. Online modules and practice questions the constant reassurance, the review sessions, and all of the practice questions. Q4 - What (if anything) would have been helpful with your preparation for the Exit Exam? Honestly, everything that we did throughout the course of this class prepared me well for the Exit Exam. When the time came to take the test I did not feel that I was lacking in preparation; the nerves I had came for from worrying of what the outcome might be, particularly if I had not done well. i felt that this whole class and online course had me fully prepared for the exit exam practice questions I cant think of anything else. I did not prefer the online evolve course (the modules). I did not use that to study as much as I used practice questions (the tests). I preferred practice questions and the bigHESI NCLEX comprehensive book to study. I thought the review was great! I think everything in this course was beneficial to my learning and preparation for the Exit Exam. The modules and in class review helped me. More Prof Moore. I think you should mention the RN nclex mastery app. It was pricey, but much more helpful to me than the evolve 8-week sessions. I truly believe it was what helped me do so well on the exit. Not having to complete all of my practicum bedside hours before taking the Exit. N/A I think this course helped me prepare as it is; I don't have any suggestions to add. Not having clinical 3 days a week and class during my time to study for the Hesi More med sure review It’s just a hard exam. Encouragement is enough going over more questions I think if I did not have to do all of my bedside practicum hours in the first half of the semester when I was supposed to be studying for the exit exam, I would have done better on the exit. Everything. I especially liked the sessions of when Dr Moore explained the reasoning behind selected questions. The online hesi review course was also very helpful. Not having practicum first half and trying to study at the same time for the exit Practice questions maybe doing the funds and med surg hesi before failing the first exit Maybe a fluid and electrolyte review day maybe a paperback review book to fill out/in Q5 - Do you have any additional comments or suggestions for Dr. Moore regarding this course? Everything that you are doing and have done has been so helpful in preparing us for the Exit Exam and soon the NCLEX. I used a book by Lippincott called Q&A Review for NCLEX-RN (thirteenth edition). It is blue and green on the cover. This review book is made up of only practice questions. It is broken down into clinical area (i.e. pediatrics, med surg, etc.) and specific health problems and conditions for each area. This book also includes 6 comprehensive practice exams and a 7th practice exam that exclusively focuses on pharmacology content. This book has been a helpful resource for me as I prepared for the pharmacology HESI as well as the Exit Exam. It could be a helpful tool for students in the future so I thought I would share! no, i thought everything she did was helpful and her calm attitude about it made me feel more comfortable when taking the pharm and exit exams Dr. Moore is very encouraging and I believe that she will do just about anything to help a student succeed. I appreciate everything you do! Thank you! You’re awesome 😊😊 I loved the motivational talks and encouragement in this class. I feel like we were really supported to do our best. I love Prof Moore prep for exit! I think she did an outstanding job teaching this course. I am so thankful for her and her motivation. It really helps me succeed when professors are willing to work with me. I don't have any additional comments. none I really did not think the 8 week course was very helpful. Keep suggesting yourbestgrade. That is what I used most and passed exit the first time I thought the course was very helpful and Dr. Moore was very encouraging and reassuring. Dr Moore is wonderful. I loved this class. Allowing the people who have passed the course the option to opt out of retaking the exit if they are happy with their grade in the class n/a No This course was so helpful and you are such a positive inspiration Q6 - Do you have a job secured for after graduation? This can be your nursing job, but does not have to be in order to answer "yes" to this question. # Answer % Count 1 Yes 88.89% 24 3 No 11.11% 3 Total 100% 27 Spring 2020 Student Evaluation of Course Q1 - Please indicate the degree to which you agree with these statements.
