The term "curriculum vitae" (CV) refers to a specific document that details one's professional and academic background. CVs are a common way for job-seekers to introduce themselves to prospective employers and recruiters. A curriculum vitae (CV) is more comprehensive than a standard CV, including the applicant's academic and professional accomplishments, extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and research experience. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CURRICULUM VITAE (CV) AND A RESUME There are similarities between a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and a resume, but there are also significant differences. Curriculum Vitae (CV) gives a more in-depth look into an individual's academic and professional background than a resume, which is often shorter and intended to emphasize credentials for particular job openings. Publications, prizes, research experience, volunteer work, and much other information that may not fit a resume should be included on a CV. On the other hand, resumes might be shorter and more relevant to the company or job you seek. Both papers are useful for giving prospective employers an overview of your background and skills. FEATURES OF A WINNING CV Some things must be included in a curriculum vitae (CV) for it to stand out from the crowd. Your CV's material should be laid up in a manner that's straightforward for recruiters to digest. Here are some things to remember while creating a superb CV or curriculum vitae: CONTACT INFORMATION Put your name, address, phone number, and email address in bold at the top of your CV. PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY A professional summary should be included at the beginning of your CV to provide the reader with an overview of your experience and skills. This must be written by the requirements of the position you are seeking. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING Include your educational background and any professional qualifications or training on your CV. WORK EXPERIENCE/VOLUNTEER WORK/INTERNSHIP SKILLS Job Experience, Volunteer Experience, and Internship Skills: Detail your paid and unpaid work experience and any relevant skills you gained from internships or volunteer work. Remember to mention any notable accomplishments you've earned in these areas to prove your development. REFERENCES If the recruiting manager asks for references, be prepared to offer contact information for three people who can speak well about your work ethic and abilities. If you take the time to fill out each part carefully, you will have a CV that employers can accept. WRITING A WINNING CV: TIPS AND TRICKS
