CWV 101 Benchmark—Gospel Essentials College of Business, Grand Canyon University CWV 101 Benchmark—Gospel Essentials For centuries, Christianity and the Christian worldview have ignited theological debates and discussions among people. Even among Christians, there are many different ideas and opinions about what forms "good" Christian conduct and living. Their whole structure and tone of love is founded on what they firmly believe about this worldview. One point of view stands out from the many others. Because of Jesus' selfless act of dying on the cross to ransom us, salvation, sin forgiveness, and a chance at everlasting life all come from a relationship with God. The belief that everyone has the ability to feel God's love because of this sacrifice is also consistent. Through faith in Jesus, we have received God's love and undeserved favor. Christians conclude that Jesus is the only path to salvation. The Christian philosophy raises many questions about God, humanity, Jesus, and restoration, as well as what it means to those who believe in it. Gospel Essential Beliefs Nature of God “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made” (John 1:1-3, KJV). Since the beginning, God has lived. There is no proof that His dominion will ever end, nor is there any record of His existence. He is the one who created the universe and everything in it. From the beginning, God has been recognized for His unwavering love and stringent commandments to mankind. This story can be seen all the way back to Adam and Eve, Lot and his wife, and even the children of Israel enslaved in Egypt. God created Adam and Eve from the dust and Adam's rib in the beginning of His creation. In His image and likeness, He created mankind. For them, God built the Garden of Eden, where they could live and prosper. Eden was respected for its beauty as well as the presence of God who resided there. Out of His love for His creation and the blessing He wanted to bestow on them, God gave Adam and Eve Eden. God only gave them one commandment: do not eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Despite getting everything they wanted, Adam and Eve disobeyed God and were punished indefinitely as a result. This demonstrates some of God's attributes. He is both caring and strong. Giving and still correcting. God is often defined as being eternal, omnipresent, and possessing all strength. Nature of Humanity Humanity, also known as human nature, refers to humankind's general psychological characteristics, feelings, and behavioral traits. We were all created in the image and likeness of God, according to the Christian worldview. God created all mankind to be like Him, not just physically, but also in spirit and heart. He made us in this way so that we could live our lives full of joy, love, and obedience to Him, praising and worshiping Him as we lived the abundant life here on earth. On the contrary, one of humanity's most contentious issues is that we were all born into sin (Psalms 51:5) and given free will to make our own decisions. "Sin is seen largely as a turning away from God, disobedience or distrust" (The Human Problem, Christianity). This sin entered the world in the beginning when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. another. Even if we have enemies, we should not alter our way of life. We should love our allies. As Christians, we must think before we speak, love one another unconditionally, and question our actions before acting in an ungodly manner. We should not pass judgment, but rather strive to see the best in others. As Christians, we are to set a good example by living godly lives. Conclusion To summarize, Christianity is one of the world's most influential worldviews. Christianity strives to make you as perfect as possible in your relationship with God, but this is impossible. We all have questions we can't answer, but we must trust Him and not second-guess Him because he owes us nothing. We owe him it all for the sacrifice he made for us on the cross. Living our lives as best we can, day by day, shows God how much we appreciate him. It is difficult to live a perfect life, but you can ask for forgiveness and forgetfulness when you make mistakes, and God forgives and forgets. He understands that everyone makes mistakes, but He sent His one and only son to earth to die for our sins because He knew we would. He is the absolute sovereign, the only perfect person, and He is always present when we require assistance. We are never on our own. Even those who do not believe in Him are not led astray. He adores them just as much as his most devout Christian devotee. References DiVincenzo, A. (2014). The beginning of wisdom: A introduction to Christian thought and life.
