Date: Lab# Page# TITLE: Electricity AIM: To verify Ohm’s Law APPARATUS: • Rheostat / variable resistor • Resistor • Ammeter • Connecting wires • 2, 1.5V cells • Switch • Voltmeter METHOD / PROCEDURE: 1. The switch, ammeter, rheostat, cells and resistor were all connected in series with each other in the circuit. 2. The voltmeter was then connected in parallel with the resistor. 3. The switch was then turned on. 4. While the switch was on the voltmeter and ammeter were promptly read. 5. The resistance of the rheostat was adjusted by the slider and then readings for current (I) and voltage (V) were taken. 6. Step 5 was repeated five times and results recorded. 7. A graph of V versus I was plotted using the results obtained. DIAGRAM: Use diagram from the white board in the lab. Label all parts.
