Delgado School Garde Level 7 Teacher Abegail S. Delgado Learning Area Time and dates Quarter 3 I. OBJECTIVES A. Content Standard demonstrates understanding of key concepts of geometry of shapes and sizes, and geometric relationships. B. Performance Standard is able to create models of plane figures and formulate and solve accurately authentic problems involving sides and angles of a polygon C. Learning Competency (with code) D. Specific Objectives 1. Compares the difference of triangle, squares, rectangles, regular pentagon, and regular hexagon from each other 2. Draw polygons using the ruler or protractor 3. Create an object using the triangle, squares, rectangles, regular pentagon and regular hexagon II. SUBJECT MATTER A. Topic Construct Triangles, Squares, Rectangles, Regular Pentagons, and Regular Hexagons B. References https://depedtambayan.net/construct-triangles-squares-rectangles-regular- pentagons-and-regular-hexagons/ C. Instructional material Power point prsentation, marker, ruler, tape, paper D. Skills Listening , constructing, understanding E. Other Learning material Mathematics quarter 3- module 7 III. MEDTHODOLOGIES A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES TEACHERS ACTIVITY LEARNERS ACTIVITY  Prayer -Everybody stand up.Anyone who wants to lead prayer?. Okay, you may start  Greetings/ classroom arrangement Before you take your seats kindly pick up the trashes you can see inside the classroom and put it in the trash bins After the children pick the trashes.. - you may now take your seats class - In the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit……..AMEN - Yes Ma’am - Were done cleaning the room - Thank you Ma’am  Attendance -Before we start, let me check your attendance. Say present if your name is called.  Review -Can someone review the topic we discuss last meeting? - Thankyouu. Now that we already discuss about the circles and all about this, we will proceed to another topic.  Motivation Polygons such as triangle, squares rectangles, pentagon and hexagons are all around us. Now look around in this room and draw objects that are shapes in polygons Yes Maam…PRESENT… - Ma’am its all about the illustrates a circle and the terms related to it: radius, diameter chord, center, arc, chord, central angle, and inscribed angle. - student get their paper, ballpen and coloring crayons (if available ) - student pass their paper B. Lesson proper Using a compass and straightened we can construct polygons. We use ruler to construct line, ray or segment when two points are given. The marks indicated in the ruler may not be used for measurement. We can use a compass to construct arc or a circle and radius length  Construct a triangle with sides measures a, b, c - Students listen carefully while writing notes @ Construct a pentagon 1, Draw diameterLMon 0. 2. Construct a perpendicular to LM L at O and intersetting'the circleat N. N , Draw the perpendicular bisector of NO a; pants mama BE preating its midpoint P. M 5. Draw NP intersecting R PatQand 6. With the compass on M and radius MR draw an arc intersecting the larger circle at Sand T. 7. With the compass on M and radius MQ, draw an arc intersecting the larger circle at Uand V. 8. Connect L and U, Land V, V and 7, T and S, and S and U, to form the sides of LU, LV, VT, TS, SU of the regular pentagon LTSU.  Construction of a hexagon C. Post lesson activity  Drills and activity - Now that were done constructing different polygons. A - I know that you are already know the topic but before we proceed to anotny question class? - if there is no question. Can someone summarize o ur topic - thankyouher topic. I will give you an activity so that I can test you if you really understand the lesson. Write the question at the blackboard - who want to volunteer to answer number 1 ? 2? 3? 4? - None po Ma’am - student answered - Yes Ma’am Student answered at the blackboard - student raised their hand 1. Construct a line segment CJ congruent to a given segment RS 2. Construct angle C congruent to a given angle J. 3. Construct ray JA such that A is in the interior of angle KJL and angle KJA= angle AJL with the given 4. Locate the midpoint U of SN and construct the perpendicular bisector of SN D. Generalization - what is the important of knowing the line segemnt, arc, the angle of polygons. Do you think we can used it real life situation ? - yes you are all correct. I know that sometimes you ask your self whats the point of listening in this lesson as if it will help you in a real life situation. Class remember always, all the this lesson can help you specially todays lesson knowing the line sement, angle can help the architec and others to design their works. - student raised their hand and answered -yes maam E. Evalluation -I think you already understood our topic for today. So, for now get 1 whole sheet of paper and answer the following. You are given 15 minutes to answer 1. In constructing a square, you draw a ___ as the side of the square. 2. Conect the ____to form a rehualr hexagon. 3. What do you call a polygon with four right angles and two - students actively participated
