Objectives At the end of the 1-hour lesson, the students from the grade 2 should be able to attain at least 85% level of proficiency in: A. Knowledge/Cognitive Understand the concept about action verbs B. Affective Identify the action verbs being used in a sentence and being showed C. Psychomotor Create sentences using action verbs II. Procedure Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity A. Preparation 1. Greetings “Good morning, Class. Please prepare yourself before we start our class today.” “How are you today?” “Wow, that’s good to hear” 2. Prayer “So, I think all of you are ready for our lesson this morning, but before that, we should pray first, so let’s bow down our heads and close our eyes and for those who are catholic you may make the sign of the cross.” (The teacher is playing the video to start the prayer) (The video prayer is done.) 3. Checking of Attendance Everyone: “Good Morning Teacher!” “We are good, teacher.” (Students are silent and are ready to pray) (Some students are making the sign of the cross and some are bowing down their head) “Good morning once again, before we start our proper discussion or our lesson for today, I will first check your attendance. You can unmute your mic or chat in the chat section or raise the hand button if your name is called.” “The teacher starts calling a name” “Gonzales” “DelaCruz” “Saragosa” “Maharlika” “Mercado” (Teacher is done checking the attendance,) “Very good class, perfect attendance. Give yourself a shoulder tap and say Great Job.” (Teacher is done checking the attendance,) “Very good class, perfect attendance. Give yourself a round of applause.” Everyone: “Okay teacher.” (Gonzales unmute her microphone) “Present teacher” (DelaCruz unmute his microphone) “Present teacher” (Saragosa unmute her microphone) “Present teacher” (Maharlika unmute his microphone) “Present teacher” (Mercado unmute her microphone) “Present teacher” (Great Job) B. Review “Can someone still remember our discussion from our last meeting?” (The teacher will call a name to answer) “Yes Joshua?” “Great! Can someone tell me what it is?” (Student’s will raise their hands) (The students will raise their hands) "What will happen in our work today is I will show you pictures and you will determine what they are doing.” "Are you ready?" (Jumping) (Singing) (Dancing) (Running) “Yes teacher!” F. Summary “Great, kids! You all really listened and learned something from our lesson today. Give “Great Job!” yourselves a shoulder tap and say Great job!. ” “Before our quiz, let's take another look at what we discussed today. What did we study again today?” "Very Good! “Remember Verb is action word and when you use action words in your friends, family, and classmate make sure it’s a good, good action word. Don’t forget Verb is an action word. And that’s our lesson for today” “About Verb or Action word” IV. Evaluation Directions: Encircle the action words being used in the sentence. 1. The boy is playing a ball. 2. Marian is eating banana. 3. The children are walking. 4. My mother is singing 5. She is crying. 6. The dog is barking. 7. She picked flowers in the garden. 8. Theo throws his garbage in the trashcan 9. They danced gracefully. 10. The birds fly. V. Assignment Directions: Make at least 5 simple sentence using action verbs. Example: Mike is drinking water.
