Peer-to-Peer Network The clients and servers are not separated by this model, every node is itself client and server in this. Each and every node in this network will request and respond to the services. Client-Server Network This is a network model that is used widely. Clients and servers are distinguished in this network, unique servers and clients are present. The Centralized Server is used in this network model to store the data as its control centralized. In the Client-Server network, the server responds to the services requested by the client. Comparison table of Peer-to-Peer Network and Client-Server Network Client-Server Network Peer-to-Peer Network Clients and servers are separated in this network, and particular servers and clients are present. Clients and servers are not separated. Focuses on exchanging information. Concentrate on connectivity. Uses centralized server to store data. Each peer has its own data. Responds to the services requested by the client. Request and respond for the services are done by each and every node. More costly than Peer-to-Peer network. Less costly than Client-Server network. More robust than Peer-to-Peer network. Less stable if number of peers is increase. Used by both small and large network. Generally suited for small networks with fewer than 10 computers
