Silent Spring: The Impact of DDT on the Environment and Wildlife - Prof. Gregory Moller, Study notes of Food science

Rachel carson's 'silent spring' is a seminal work that exposed the harmful effects of ddt on the environment and wildlife. Lecture notes and discussion questions that delve into the chemical properties and environmental fate of ddt, its positive and negative impacts, toxicological endpoints in birds, and the role of 'silent spring' in the development of the modern american environmental movement. The document also covers the 'glory years' of ddt use, the industry response, and the scientific advisory committee's recommendations.
