EDUC 307 Journal 2 Concordia University complete material EDUC 307 Journal 2 When using social media, I was never fully aware of the 9 Digital Citizenship codes or guidelines to follow, I always used what I used from in person interaction when using social media, and thought long and hard before posting something. However, after reading and understanding what it means to be a digital citizen on social media, I soon realized how helpful these 9 elements can be to every day persons. With all social media platforms that I use on a daily basis, I personally consider digital etiquette the most when posting on it. I always think is what I am saying potentially rude or inconsiderate to others maybe not directly around me but around me on the world wide web. I also was aware of digital securities indirectly, always taking the proper measures to make sure all my social media accounts were secure and safe. Having authentication on my accounts to be sure it is not easily accessible and not get into the wrong hands who may try to harm my reputation. After learning about the elements, it was interesting to see “Digital Health and Wellness” which discusses the well-being in a digital technology world. It has made me sit back and make sure that what I post does not harm people around me whether directly or indirectly, this now falls back on digital etiquette and being aware of your surroundings. One element that I could use more of would be digital literacy, this is because social media is always changing and technology is advancing more and more every day as we grow older. I think it is important to learn as much as possible and have the ability to pass it on to the newer generation for the years to come. In conclusion digital citizenship shares 9 different
