EFFECTS OF INFLATION TO THE CAS STUDENTS INTRODUCTION This chapter presents the introduction of the research study and its problem. It includes the dependent and independent variables that are used in the study as well as the significance and limitations. A. Background of the study: Inflation is one of the problems that our country is facing at this time, one of those affected by it is the students. The headline inflation in the Philippines accelerated to 6.9 percent in September 2022, from 6.3 percent in August 2022. This is the highest recorded inflation since October 2018. With this month’s inflation, the Philippines’ average inflation rate from January to September 2022 stood at 5.1 percent. In September 2021, inflation rate was observed at 4.2 percent (PSA, 2022). B. Statement of the problem: This study aims to determine the effects of inflation to the CAS students of Camarines Norte State College. Specifically, it aims to answer the following: a. Allowance b. Most effects of inflation to the students c. Alternative way C. Research Objectives: This study aims to determine and answer the following: a. To analyze how much money they spent a day. b. To analyze and find an alternative way to lessen the effects of inflation that the student encountered c. To identify the most effects of the inflation encountered by CAS students
