The internet has a vast information that one could impossibly read all day even with only just one specific topic. Although with it’s great extent of information, not everything that can be found in the internet is legit. This is why it is very important to be literate enough to differentiate the real and fake that is found in the internet. Whenever | would start seaching for a certain question or topic, the results would never fail to overwhelm me especially when there are like over hundred thousands of them. The first thing that | would do is to open the websites that are mostly at the top of the search results. This is because those websites has the most frequent visits or views compared to the other one that are usually found on the second page of Google. | somehow have more faith to these results when it comes to their credibility because of the number of viewers and readers that the page or website got. The next thing | would do is to check if such page is editable, in where everyone has the capability to edit the information presented. An example for this is Wikipedia. The information that you can get there is not really hundred percent credible since there are other users that can edit and with this, it is not possible for them to add or reduce the information presented. The third one that | usually do is to check the author if he or she is reliable and If the author is reliable,and his her provided information is accurate, valid or punctual,then it is safe to choose that information. Curiousity is only natural for a human being and seeking for information is one way to cure such feeling but it is also important to know the credibility and accuracy of such information because it would be a shame for someone to be educated with the wrong ideas.
