CONCEPT Verb tells an action or state of being. It has many tenses, but the basic tenses are the simple present, simple past and simple future. Simple present tense expresses general statements and describe usual or habitual actions. For example: I eat breakfast daily. Simple past tense describes a completed activity that happened in the past. For example: They painted the fence last week. Simple future tense used for an action that will occur in the future. For example: I will call you when I arrive. III. EXERCISE I Directions: Fill in the missing form of the verb in each set.
