It is Not seeing yourself from the eyes of people. When I say self love it doesn’t mean loving yourself for the money, fame or any other materialistic things you have. It does not have anything to do with looks or any other superficial desires. We always look for little hints of approval from people around us. We want to look beautiful, smart, skinny, tall, white. This is not about a man or a woman. It is about us as humans. We compare ourselves with others. It does not matter if you are red head, Blonde or brunette, acne pruned or not. It is sad when on one hand media teaches us about self confidence and on the other hand doubles us with insecurities. When you start to love someone more than yourself , when you revamp yourself for them, when you focus on them more than you focus on your dreams , when the purpose of your life starts to revolve around them, when you give up on baseball and start to love football for them when they start to define your happiness Stop! These attachments which make you forget who you are, are toxic. find yourself but not in them. Let them accept your reality not your efforts. Its a matter of knowing your value its about knowing that “I don’t have to be around these people in these environments in these situations in order to finally see value in myself. I love myself, independent of you loving me. I believe in myself, independent of you believing in me.” God created us all of us we are his children and he created each one of you beautiful. We are the society we ourselves lead us to this point where we feel downtrodden, we need the sense of self worth. Remember, life crumbles us down in so many ways at so many points no matter what has happened what will happen you will never lose your worth. “I love myself I see the value in myself and I need to be careful of who and what I give emotional access too.” Self love is the source of all other loves stop criticizing yourself and start loving yourself. You are enough as you are you don’t even have to try. Never forget that.
