The major task of the Network is to inform and educate its members and interested communities. The Network will coordinate and support of integrated development and specific rural development projects, and will represent the interests of its members on national and international level. Objectives  To facilitate the cooperation and communication among people and organizations in the rural regions for the purpose of achieving effective representation of their interests as well as for the purpose of structuring the information flow between governmental and non-governmental organizations from local to regional, national and international level;  To be an equal partner in the process of creating legislation and policy for rural development. 10 Docsity.com Regional Seminars 11 Seven regional meetings were held in the six planning regions:  Sofia, MAF,12 October 2004: a total of 54 representatives of governmental land non-governmental organizations took part in the meeting;  Vidin, 14 October 2004: 52 participants;  Veliko Tarnovo, 20 October 2004: 68 participants;  Varna, 21 October 2004: 73 participants;  Stara Zagora, 27 October 2004: 51 participants;  Yambol, 28 October 2004: 41 participants;  Smolyan, 02 November 2004: 45 participants; 384 participants, 64 of whom have expressed their opinions in writing Docsity.com Conclusions and suggestions provided by the participants in the regional seminars  95% of the participants express absolute readiness to get involved in the process of establishing the National Network, as they specified their contribution;  90% of the participants regard themselves as future partners in the Network;  90% of the NGOs declare specific contribution /information, consultation support for projects, coordination and mobilization of local communities/;  All participants clearly expressed their interest in additional information on the topic;  Conclusions show that there is a lack of specific ideas and a vision for the overall structure and organization of the National Network; 12 Docsity.com
