How many main points: 4 main points Main point 1: Definition of communication The activity or process of expressing ideas and feelings or of giving people information Main point 2: English skills in communication - Speaking skill helps communicate effectively, makes a good impression - Listening skill is one of the most important skill in effective communication; and effective communication requires active listening. - Reading skill increases our vocabulary, gather knowledge and share new idea. - Writing skill communicate your message clearly and listener can understand easily. Main point 3: Many English skills: which is the most important in communication? Listening skills is the most important skill in communication because it can be reducing misunderstandings, increasing your productivity as well as building trust. Main point 4: How to improve listening skills in communiction: We can listen to E radio, watch English movies and TV show; listen to yourself; practice everyday.  Conclusion: In English skills, listening skill is the most important in communication 3. Topic: Mistakes we should avoid during presentation. 2. How many main points: 3 main points Main point 1: Definition of presentation A presentation conveys information from a speaker to an audience. To inform, persuade, inspire, motivate, build goodwill or present a new idea. Main point 2: Some common presentation mistakes - Going over your allotted - Lack of eye contact: don’t look at audiences or avoiding eye contact during presentations make you look dodgy and untrustworthy. - Reading the presentation slides - Technical difficulties: prepare carefully before presentation to avoid incidents Main point 3: How to avoid it? - Keep rehearsing your presentation to make sure you are ready with your presentation. - Making eye contact: Eye contact helps you build connections with your audience. - The fewer words, the better - Check the equipment before your presentation My questions: - Currently, there are many centers opening classes on presentation skills. How many main points: 3 main parts: Introduction In VN and other places, many people might be aware that smoking might be aware that smoking can harm their health, particularly associating smoking with lung cancer and respiratory diseases. Body has 2 parts  Main point 1. What are the health risks of smoking? - Smoking brings it more than 5000 chemical substances into contact with the body’s tissues. - You can become ill:  if you smoke yourself  if people around you smoke (passive smoking) - Lead to a variety of ongoing complication in the body such as loss of smell, bronchitis and emphysema, heart attacks, damaged eyesight, weakened bones and so on. - It makes it harder for women to get pregnant. And in men, it cause erectile dysfunction. Smoking causes around 7 out of every 10 cases of lung cancer (70%). It also causes cancer in many other parts of the body, including the: mouth, throat, nose, sinus, esophagus, bladder, stomach, ureteral,…  Main point 2. How we benefit physically when we finally give up smoking: 5 Lecturer’s grade 2,2 Lungs become healthier after about one month, with less coughing and shortness of breath. The delicate hair-like cilia in the airways and lungs start recovering within weeks, and are restored after 9 months, improving resistance to infection.  Conclusion: Smoking is harmful for our health, stop smoking and replacement Nicotine by using gum, lozenges, sprays 3. My questions: - Why is the smoking rate in Vietnam so high? - Why do people smoke? - Although Vietnam has regulations on banning smoking in public places, people still smoke in public places. How many main points: 3 parts Main point 1. What is the alcoholic drink? - An alcoholic drink is a drink that contains ethanol. Commonly known as alcohol. - A type of alcohol produced by fermentation of grains, fruits or other sources of sugar that acts as a drug. Main point 2. Types of the alcoholic drink - Fermented drinks: sima, probiotic lemonade, kombucha - Drinks by raw material - Distilled Drinks (Liquors and Spirits): Gin, Brandy, Rum, Vodka… Main point 3. The negative effects of alcoholic drink on our health - Alcoholic is a depressant: + Low doses: euphoria, reduces anxiety, increase sociability 6 Lecturer’s grade 2 + High does: drunkenness, unconsciousness and death + Long does: increase risk and cancer rate - Effects of alcohol on the body: heart disease, brain damage, stomach complications, liver damage, lung infections, weakened immune system,…  Conclusion: - Moderate amounts have been linked to health benefits. - It is addictive and high toxic (drink too much and long-term). - The negative effects of alcoholic drink on our health depend on the amount and type of alcohol consumed. My questions: In some countries like the UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea,... they ban the sale of alcohol to people under 18. The shop can check your ID to determine if you're old enough. If businesses are found to be selling alcohol to people under 18, they will be fined. But regulations on banning alcohol sales to people under 18 years old in Vietnam are not strict. What do you think about this issue? - Between drinking alcohol and smoking, which is more dangerous? How many main points: 4 parts Main point 1: Introduction about Taking photos for memories and members - The most memorable day is the day of taking photos to keep memories - Taking photos for memories is an annual activity of senior year students to preserve the beautiful moments and memories of a student time, when they were all studying together in the same college. - Members’ attitude: anxious about high cost, reluctant and irritated, delighted and overjoyed. 7 Lecturer’s grade 2,5 My questions: - How much sleep do we really need? - In your opinion, what is the best time to go to bed and why? - In your opinion, does the sleeping position have a great influence on sleep? - Should people take a nap or not? How many main points: 3 main points Main point 1: Definition of family Family is defined as a specific group of people that may be made up of partners, children, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. Main point 2: The reason why a family falls apart 6 popular reasons: - Adultery is the most common reason, it may lead to divorce - Disrespectfulness: both live under a roof, respect is necessary thing - Work and family pressure and family economic burden create stress for both - Family violence - Married at a young age Main point 3. Consequences - Termination of a husband and wife relationship before the law - Risk of boredom, despair, depression, reduced life expectancy - Financial difficulties - It is difficult to enter a new relationship. Who is the greatest disadvantage? Children – innocent children have to bear the suffering caused by their own parents. They feel the pain of lack of love from parents; feel inferior and disadvantaged with their friends. 10 Lecturer’s grade 2 ,2  Conclusion: A shattered family will probably bring a free life to the husband or wife, but it will leave a lot of bad consequences, especially children. Therefore, parents should consider carefully to avoid bad consequences for themselves and their children. My questions: - How to make family always in harmony. - How to help children overcome difficulties when the family is broken? - Ways to keep a good relationship in family - What is the difference between a child living in a happy family and a child living in an unhappy family? How many main points: Main point 1. Reality - Nowadays, instead of playing sports, people often talk on the phone, watch TV, work on computers and read newspapers. Main point 2. Benefits of playing sports - Better Sleep: make you feel happy and relaxed. - New Connections: Sport can offer a new way to meet others. - Improve Mental Health: promotes good mental health, improves your mood, enhances feelings of well-being. - A Strong Heart: improve in performance when it is regularly challenged with exercise. Improved - Lung Function: waste gases expelled. Main point 3. Some advices for people to play sports - Jogging makes muscles and ligaments more supple, better bearing. 11 Lecturer’s grade 2,2 - Swimming maintains stable blood pressure and increase good cholesterol - Badminton increases height at the age of development, helps the body to react quickly. - Volleyball is very good for blood circulation, reducing the risk of vascular occlusion. Why do you think why people enjoy playing those sports? - Due to the covid19 pandemic, people cannot leave their homes because of social distancing. So how can they continue to play sports?
