Typically, rows of bricks - called courses - are laid on top of one another to build up a structure such as a brick wall. TERM 9 glass block DEFINITION 9 Glass brick, also known as glass block, is an architectural element made from glass. Glass bricks provide visual obscuration while admitting light. TERM 10 precast concrete DEFINITION 10 Precast concrete is a construction product produced by casting concrete in a reusable mold or "form" which is then cured in a controlled environment, transported to the construction site and lifted into place.
