i. Consider the basic steam power cycle depicted below with the given praperties at each state. The data in the
table were obtained from actual cycle performance tests. For the data given, do the following:
a) Show the process that the steam undergoes on a T-s diagram with respect to saturation lines. Be sure to
depict the correct condition of steam for each state.
b) Determine the overall thermal efficiency of the cycle, in percent.
c) Determine the isentropic efficiency of the pump.
d) Determine the mass flow rate of steam required for a net cycle power output of 50 MW.
Assume an adiabatic turbine and negligible kinetic and potential energy changes for all components.
