Many Filipino citizens are scared of the Covid vaccine especially the one that came from China and traumatized by the effect of Dengvaxia that killed dengue patients which is suppose to immune them to dengue. Covid vaccine is the only way that the world can go back to what it is before but its not that easy. A common frustration for other Filipino citizens, is covid vaccine really helps to avoid having covid-19. Covid vaccine is not safe in the eyes of other Filipinos and that’s understandable due to what they experience or heard to others experience but if you base on the scientific reasons why some vaccinated Filipinos feel weak or something, it’s because the vaccines contain mRNA parts of a particular organism (antigen) that triggers an immune response within the body. Newer vaccines contain the blueprint for producing antigens rather than the antigen itself. Regardless of whether the vaccine is made up of the antigen itself or the blueprint so that the body will produce the antigen, this mRNA version will not cause the disease in the person receiving the vaccine However, it will cause their immune system to react in the same way as it would if they were exposed to the pathogen for the first time. According to DOH: there are risks of complications BUT SEVERE OR LIFE-THREATENING REACTIONS ARE EXTREMELY RARE. The benefit of protection against severe COVID-19 is greater than the risk. Anyone who will get the vaccine will be properly evaluated and closely monitored by health professionals to further minimize any risk. DOH claims that there are some reactions and the severe or life-threatening reactions are extremely rare, but you can’t deny that it’s still possible. I assume that having bad lifestyle has the biggest possibilities in having severe reactions. So in short Covid vaccine is safe and reactions are not deadly and the one that has bad lifestyle were most likely to have severe reactions. Covid vaccine might have reactions but after that your body is now prepared once the covid-19 virus enters your body, but remember take be vaccinated by COVID-19 vaccines that are granted with Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are considered safe and effective based on the available evidence to date.
