Who are allowed to be buried in Libingan ng mga Bayani? The Libingan Ng Mga Bayani was made in 1946 for final resting place of Philippine presidents, war veterans, notable government statesmen, dignitaries, and national artists. The AFP or the Armed Forces of the Philippines released in one press conference the qualifications of who to be buried in Heroes Cemetery:  Medal of Valor awardees  Presidents or commander-in-chief, AFP  Secretaries of national defense AFP chiefs of staff  Generals/flag officers of the AFP  Active and retired military personnel of the AFP (including active draftees and trainees who died in line of duty, and active reservists and CAFGU Active Auxiliary who died in combat- related activities)  Former members of the AFP who laterally entered or joined the Philippine Coast Guard and the Philippine National Police  Veterans of Philippine Revolution of 1890, World War I, World War II, and recognized guerrillas  Government dignitaries, statesmen, national artist and other deceased persons whose interment and re-interment has been approved by the commander-in-chief, Congress or the secretary of national defense  Former presidents, secretaries of defense, dignitaries, statesmen, national artists, widows of former presidents, secretaries of national defense and chief of staff However, the AFP clarified that those who caused war or moral turpitude must be disqualified to be buried in the Libingan ng mga Bayani. The qualifications who must be buried in the Heroes Cemetery are in the answer of number 1 and its according to Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Regulation G 161-373. 3. Why should we let Marcos be buried in the Libingan ng mga Bayani? Marcos's remnants have been entombed and well-preserved in an air- conditioned family vault in Ilocos Norte since 1993. On 2016, November 8th, the Supreme Court supported 9-5 to permit Marcos’ interment at the Heroes Cemetery. In an interview with CNN Ph, Senator Marcos Bongbong answered that his father must be buried in the Heroes Cemetery for the reason that his father was a former president and commander-in-chief, legislator, defense secretary, and an awarded military veteran and the Supreme Court approved it. And besides, there’s no such a law that specifically or impliedly prohibits Marcos to be interred at Libingan Ng Mga Bayani. I would also agree to President Duterte’s statement that Marcos burial in LNMB would be a great start of Nation Healing and forgiveness in at the same time. If we disapprove the burial of the late President, then we ask the power already of the system of the highest court within the hierarchy of courts (Judiciary). A lot advantages and disadvantages of this National ID system, however one advantage is that it is verified that it will make transactions way more easier since I already use my card for a private dealings while one disadvantage I can give is that it would not protect us from terrorism, however it would generate a system of inner passports that would meaningfully diminish the freedom and privacy of upstanding citizens.
