ENGL100 Basic Writing Fall ‘07 Final Exam (23 points toward your final grade) Scheduled exam time: 12:30 class Thursday, Dec. 13, 10:15-12:15 in Leonard 105 2:00 class Tuesday, Dec. 11, 12:30-2:30 in Leonard 105 Complete this—typed or in ink—before the exam date. Bring it with you to the exam. If necessary, you may write the exam during the exam time, BUT you must do it in ink. (-10 points for exams written in pencil). Use only the amount of space allowed on these pages to answer the questions. You will write 2 more short documents on the day of the exam. This exam can only be graded based on the evidence you supply. There are no right or wrong answers. A “right” answer is one you can support with material from your work during the semester. 1. According to your Reflections and other notes and documents you have, how have you developed as a writer this semester? Quote from at least 3 different documents during the semester to show your development (or to show no change). Include the dates for each quote. You wrote several different kinds of papers. Assess yourself as a writer of each kind: Type of paper Comments about my skill with this type of writing Narrative (Essay #1) I-Search (Essay #2) Argument (Essay #3) Radical Revision (Essay #4) Complete this only if you did this optional assignment 1 2. Identify at least 2 things that you have discovered you do well as a writer?
