Food Trades Project Documentation In ChopSuey Making Princess Reigne Ocampo Chop suey is a dish in American Chinese cuisine and other forms of overseas Chinese cuisine, consisting of meat and eggs, cooked quickly with vegetables such as bean sprouts, cabbage, and celery and bound in a starch-thickened sauce. Fun Facts About Chop Suey Legend has it that, while he was visiting New York City, Chinese ambassador Li Hung Chang's cooks invented the dish for his American guests at a dinner on August 29, 1896. Composed of celery, bean sprouts, and meat in a tasty sauce, the dish was supposedly created to satisfy both Chinese and American tastes. The costing of my project Name Quantity Price Chicken Atay Large Carrot Sayote Broccoli ¼ ¼ 1 pcs 1 pcs 1 pcs Cauliflower Cabbage Red bell pepper Garlic Minced, Onion Chopped 1 pcs 1 pcs 1 pcs 1 pcs, 1 pcs Salt, Vetsin, Magic Sarap These are the utensils, tools and equipment I prepare before starting: Bowls Spoon Container Plates Casseroles Sandok Utensils Equipment Tools Apron Hairnet Stove 50 60 18 13 35 25 20 10 15 30 Procedure in making Chop Suey First we have to clean and boil the chicken and atay until tender. Then we have to open the stove and saute the garlic, onions, chicken and the atay. Next, we have to add water , let it boil and add all the vegetable,stir and simmer. After adding all tbe ingredients including the quail eggs, cornstarch and others we have to wait until it boil.. Lastly, After boiling we have to do the plaiting and take a picture of it to send it to my teacher after that we taste it and share with our family! Second, We have to slice the Carrot, Sayote, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Red bell pepper and minced the garlic and chopped the onion My Experience in making Chop Suey This is my First time making a chop suey and i felt really happy because the finished product tastes so good and I'm also happy to the fact that i really can cook on my own and my tita just helped me a little bit even though its so hard to slice the cabbage, peel the sayote and carrots because its so slippery and it's slipping off my hand it's still feels good to know that the food that i ate is the one i make with the help of my tita ofcourse. The Part That i found hard to do. The part that i found hard to do is when I'm peeling the sayote and carrot , as i said earlier it's always slipping on my hand and i also had a little scratch on my hand because of it, that's the only part that i found hard. What i have learn? First of all i learn how to cook chop suey and i also learn how to properly slice a vegetables and also it's my first time to slice more than two vegetables that's why i enjoy this a lot♥
