Important grammar notes  would can be replaced with ( used to ) , if there is a time indicator in the sentence , for example:  I used to play tennis when I was 3 .  I would play tennis when I was 3. “But if there is no time indicator :( used to # would)”  we can’t use “would” with stative verbs .  Stative verbs cannot normally be used in the continuous tenses.  “ the negative form of used to is ( didn’t use to ) , and the negative form of would is ( wouldn’t ) , استخدام , يجوز ال النفي حاله في ولكن (Wouldn’t)”  I use only ( didn’t use to ) to describe past habbits in negative forms.  ( before, when , by the time) +past simple + past perfect التاني قبل ل االو يجي  ( after, as soon as ,once, the moment, when ) + past perfect + past simple ي التان يجي االول بعد  Negative past simple + till/until + past perfect  (while , just as , as , when ) + past continuous + past simple .  (During+noun) ( noun phrase ):  During the final match last Friday , the refree sent off three violent players (not verb +ing ).  I had tidied my room. After that, I watched T.V .  If you found one of these verbs in the past simple tense , choses (Past perfect ) after it : ( noticed , discovered , found out , realized , understood , knew , was sure)  (no sooner, hardly, scarcely) + (had+sub.+P.P) + (than/when) + Past simple  No sooner had he arrived than the train left.  If we mention the no. of times the verb occours, we do not use past perfect continuous :  After / before ) v.ing (if there is no subject+  After graduating , she married  Past simple(نتيج ه ) + because + past perfect(سب ب )  Having / after having P.P  Having finished the report , I handed it.  Before =After that .  Example: When I met her , I realized that I had seen her before.  By/Before + previous period of time Past perfect  By 2015 he had written two stories.  (a little time = positive connotation, I’m glad I had some time, more than zero)  (little time = negative connotation, not much or not enough)  I'm.......,aren't I?  I'm not......,am I?  This (That) is........,isn't it?  Let's.......,shall we?  Let us.. .will you?/won't you ? ب طل عن تعبر  )will you(/ won't you Open the door, will (won't) you?  These (Those) are......aren't they?  LATTER االخ ر  Remember: we use few and a few with countable nouns (books, chips, friends)  (A few قليل بس تكف) / ( few متكفي ش )  REMEMBER: With uncountable nouns, we use little and a little  Question Tag( Anomalies in the appended question):  Don't move, will you?  ي عل تحتوي الجملة كانت إذا (no- little -few-neither- nor- seldom -never-hardly -rarely) The sentence is considered negative, and therefore the appended question is affirmative : “ he rarely visits his uncle, does he ?  He's written the report, hasn't he?  He's playing now, isn't he?  It's written in French, isn't it?  She'd like to join the university, wouldn't she?  He'd studied hard, hadn't he?  She'd rather sleep now, wouldn’t she ?  She has a car, doesn't she?  We needn't go now, need we?  He'd better go out than stay here, hadn't he?  Nothing can live without energy ,can it ?  Yahya used to play football, didn't he?  Everyone is coming to the park, aren't they?  I don't think they visited the zoo, did they?  I think Yahya will visit us, won't he?  They must have gone to school, didn't they?  interesting......isn't it?
