The largest free online encyclopedia, created and edited by volunteers around the world and hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation,contains arround 17 millon articles YouTube launched in 2005, bringing free online video hosting and sharing to the masses. Twitter launched in 2006. It was originally going to be called twittr (inspired by Flickr); the first Twitter message was “just setting up my twttr”. Photo and video sharing social networking is a popular photo-sharing app that lets you connect with brands, celebrities, thought leaders, friends, family, and more. Arpanet made its first trans-Atlantic connection in 1973, with the University College of London.
