STEM 11 Homeroom Guidance Quarter 1 —- Module 1: The Superhero in ME What | Have Learned Modular learning had been implemented as a result of the current epidemic. As a result, we are required to complete worksheets and study independently under the supervision and guidance of our subject professors. There was an instance when | was so sure of myself when it came to solving our Pre-Calculus worksheets. I'm not sure why | was feeling that way at the time, but | now have the confidence to answer those worksheets without hesitation. After a few days of focused on that subject, | felt very pleased of myself for completing all of the allotted duties. As someone who has little confidence in her body owing to mental health issues, this incident offered me hope that | might improve. Maybe | had the guts to answer those worksheets because | was being challenged on whether or not | could handle pre-calculus. Or maybe it's because deep down within I'm hoping and giving myself a chance to try and hope that | can accomplish it. Knowing that I'm slowly coming back to my former self was a huge comfort. Though these were only small steps, it was great to know that | had a chance to reclaim my former self, whom are confident in her abilities and certain in her life decisions. That incident also led me to believe that | am gradually embracing myself in terms of believing in my own self-worth. Share Your Thoughts and Feelings (Reflection) 1. What positive statements would you say to yourself to be reminded of your strengths and values? It was these positive affirmations that helped me remember my strengths and values: | am valuable just as | am; | am loved by others; | am not alone in my endeavors; | am capable of anything through God; my failures and mistakes are simply a part of my learning and growing process and do not define my future; | am constantly learning to become a better person; | have a purpose; my hard work pays off; | have courage; and | am worthy. 2. How will you deal with life obstacles or negative feelings? We all face opportunities like this at some point in our lives, and my first instinct is to remove any obstacle or bad influence that may be standing in our way. | believe that we should never sit on an opportunity that presents itself. Given that | have any anxiety or concern about the future devouring me, the easiest method to overcome the hurdles is to repair them as soon as possible and better the future. Look for solutions and answers to issues while maintaining a reasonable mindset and isolating personal emotions in order to make an effective judgment. | may also overcome such difficulties, life hurdles, or unpleasant emotions by trusting in God. Having all those terrible feelings results in breakdown, and when I'm in that phase, | always seek God; I'll speak to Him, tell Him all my problems, beg Him for help, and trust in Him regardless of the negativity I'm experiencing. What would you do to empower yourself? Self-empowerment involves the courage, trust, and faith in oneself and in God that one may develop and do better as a human being. To empower myself, | need to develop my qualities and capabilities in life. Developing and refining my thinking, beliefs, and behaviors also contributes to self-empowerment. Giving time, focusing my attention, and practicing self-kindness may also assist, particularly since self- kindness may culminate in self-love, which may evolve into self-empowerment. There are many more techniques, such as cultivating a positive attitude, establishing acceptable goals for improvement, associating with positive and non-toxic individuals, and practicing self-care. What are your realizations as to your capability in handling and surviving the current health crisis right now? As a senior high student and citizen, my realizations regarding my capacity for dealing with and surviving the present health crisis are that the pandemic has taught us to prioritize our health even when no health concerns exist. The most significant aspect of our wellness is the influence it can have on how we live our lives. Surviving the pandemic taught us the value of health and how to take care of ourselves. It also taught us the methods, answers, and procedures to which we must adhere with caution. That as a student and citizen without the necessary knowledge and abilities to resolve the primary problem on our own, the very least we can do is obey the rules. It showed us that adhering to the restrictions in place is critical; even the smallest changes, such as not going outdoors or wearing facemasks, may have a significant impact on the most serious issues we face. 2. Discuss on a sheet of paper why you chose the person/s to whom the letter will be given. Because his birthday is drawing near, | have chosen my father to be the subject of the letter | want to send to him. As a result, my message to him will serve as a present for his 50th birthday, which is coming up soon. As an OFW, heis also the one with whom | have a feeling of not being as close as | would want since | did not grow up with him by my side. | didn't have him by my side till | was five years old. As a child with a pure heart and mind, | often imagine myself standing on the stage receiving those awards with both of them by my side, or when | am the representative of our daycare center and have successfully delivered the speech, | imagine myself receiving cheers and congratulation from both of them. Calisin, Dorothy G. STEM 11 Homeroom Guidance Quarter 1 — Module 3: You RULE: Respect, Understand and Listen to Everyone What | Have Learned 1. What are your experiences of showing respect to people like your family, friends, and classmates? | demonstrate my respect for them by refraining from passing judgment on their appearance, their thoughts, or their beliefs. | also respect their privacy and pay close attention to what they have to say. | also attempted to find the good aspects of the individual, and to the extent that | am able, | attempt to right their wrongdoings in a manner that | am certain would not do them any harm. Giving my understanding of them also demonstrates my respect for them, particularly because | am used to having a more comprehensive grasp of things. 2. How do we keep harmony with others especially during this time of pandemic? In order to maintain unity during this epidemic, we must show respect for the views, opinions, and knowledge of people regarding many topics. Also, we must recognize that we do not have the authority to validate and judge other people solely on the basis of their actions, appearance, and the manner in which they speak because we are not aware of the person's personal struggles, and that alone should be sufficient justification for refraining from being rude to other people. We should likewise refrain from invading the privacy of others. 3. How did the pandemic affect the way you treat people? How do you interact with other people? Since this pandemic has caused us to lose physical interaction with people, the only thing we can do is communicate with them via technological means. This made me more conscious of what | should say to others and if it would harm them or not, and since social media is used as a platform, | don't judge people based on what they believe about the issue because it is their opinion, after all. Due to the outbreak, | have learned to be more compassionate, gentle, and understanding while dealing with other people, regardless of how unpleasant and tough their personalities seem to be. It was also taught to me that other people's lives are not always revolved around you; | learnt to respect their personal time and recognize that they are not always available to assist and be with you since they have their own lives to take care of as well. This pandemic also exacerbated my social anxiety when | had to interact with others. Unlike in the past, when | was confident in my ability to interact with others or strangers, today |am prone to become anxious and overthinking about what others could think of me. Share Your Thoughts and Feelings (Reflection) | created some symbols to serve as a reminder to always respect others, as well as some phrases to help me in remembering and understanding others. in ORDER To SS App used: IbisPaint X Creator: Dorothy G.
