Your Name: Lab Section (Circle One): M T W Th F Instructions and Notes • Include this sheet with your homework; circle your lab section above. • Show all work to receive full credit. • Draw a box around your final answer for each problem. • Write your name on each page submitted, and staple all pages together. • Specify units for all numeric answers. • “Book Problems” refer to end-of-chapter problems in Hambley 4th edition. • Check links on web page for answers to selected book problems. Problems 1. Book Problem P 2.1 (Equivalent resistance). 2. Book Problem P 2.2 (Equivalent resistance). 3. Book Problem P 2.3 (Equivalent resistance). Do parts (a) and (b), and ADD THIS QUESTION AS PART (c): Find the equivalent resistance between terminals c and d if terminals a and b are connected by a wire. 4. Book Problem P 2.22 (Network analysis using equivalent resistances). (Hints: Find V1 by combining the 10Ω resistor with the resistors to its right, and then use voltage division. After you have V1, find V2 using voltage division.) 5. Book Problem P 2.40 (Voltage/current divider circuits). For part (b), keep the same resistance values for R1 and R2 that you calculated in part (a). 6. Book Problem P 2.47 (Node-voltage analysis). 7. Book Problem P 2.49 (Node-voltage analysis)
