September 15, 2011 EE 335 – Electromechanical Energy Conversion and Energy Systems Fall Semester 2011 – Dr. Jignesh Solanki Homework#4 Due: Tuesday, September 20 Problem 1 - Download EE335_OC_Test.mdl and EE335_OC_Test.mdl Simulink files from ECampus. - Open MATLAB and open EE335_OC_Test.mdl - Bring the example 3-2 and compare each component parameters with Simulink file - Next step is to build the exact circuit by Simulink Library - Go to MATLAB Window Open > New and Select Model (It will open “untitled” Simulink file - Click on Simulink Icon - Type Voltage Source in the search box, once found select AC Voltage Source and drag in to “untilted” file as shown below - At this time “untilted” file save as “EE335_OCText_YourFirstName_YourLastName” in this folder ..\My Documents\MATLAB - Type Current Measurement and once found select and drag in to “EE335_OCText_YourFirstName_YourLastName” file - Similarly search and drag following components – Voltage Measurement, RMS (pick RMS block of SimPowerSystems) – 2 times, Display (pick Display bock of Simulink) – 3 times - Also, search and drag Linear Transformer in to your file and double click the component and uncheck the “Three windings transformer” - Once all components are inside the file arrange and connect wires as shown in EE335_OC_Test.mdl - Double click all the components and enter the values exactly available in EE335_OC_Test.mdl and verify that you get the same results by simulating the circuit. Go to MATLAB Window Open > New and Select Model (It will open “untitled” Simulink file - Repeat steps given above and create similar file as EE335_SC_Test.mdl and verify that you get the same results Print EE335_OCText_YourFirstName_YourLastName.mdl model and EE335_SCText_YourFirstName_YourLastName.mdl with your results showing in the display block in Simulink model and include in your homework submission.
