Eager to learn from Ma’am Mishel expertise, I observed intently as the teacher effortlessly captivated her students’ attention with interactive lessons and creative activities. Inspired by what she witnessed, I eagerly volunteered to assist in the next period, where I found myself helping the students with problem- solving. During my break, I noticed a group of shy students huddled in a corner of the schoolyard. Determined to make a difference, I approached them with a warm smile and gently encouraged them to join in the games with their classmates. After lunch, I again checked on my fellow volunteers to see how they were faring. All of them are able to handle their classes now without the feeling of shyness. When my co-immersion students and I arrived at the library after our classes, I offered words of encouragement and shared my own experiences, fostering a sense of camaraderie among the group. Ma’am mishel suddenly entered the library and talked to me in private, she commended me for my dedication and creativity in her classroom. I beamed with pride, grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of the children in her community. When school day came to a close, I reflected on my journey so far. Despite the challenges and uncertainties, I knew that I was exactly where I was meant to be – inspiring young minds, spreading joy, and making a difference, one day at a time. My teacher, Ma’am Mishel, couldn’t make it, so I took over her class. It was tough but fulfilling. I got to school early to get used to everything. When class started, I introduced myself and tried to make the students comfortable. I stumbled a bit at first but got better as I went along. The Grade 7 class was great, and we talked about polynomials. Then I went to teach Grade 8, which was more challenging because the students had different levels of understanding. After a break, I felt energized and taught more classes. Grade 7 and 8 were tough because the students were loud and sometimes disruptive, but I managed. I had to keep reminding them to pay attention and be quiet. At the end of the day, I felt tired but happy. Even though there were challenges, seeing the students understand made it all worth it. I left school feeling proud and with a greater understanding of teaching, ready for the next day with renewed determination. I got to school early to help the students clean, like usual. Ma’am Mishel watched me, so I taught her advisory class about polynomials. Then, I taught Grade 8 Taurus and Grade 7 Capricorn about polynomials too. They were engaged and participated well. After that, I rested until lunchtime. In the afternoon, I taught Grade 7 Virgo about polynomials and did an activity with them. They were also active in class. I ended the day by giving them homework. Then, I went back to my advisory class, helped them clean up, and dismissed them after. Engaging with the students and seeing their enthusiasm for learning was incredibly rewarding. My fifth day ended with a sense of accomplishment. Ma’am Mishel was still with us but only observed from the back of the classroom. In our first class, we tackled adding and subtracting polynomials. It felt easier with someone by my side. My immersion partner acted more like the teacher, while I assisted by checking quizzes. At lunchtime, we discussed what we’d learned and shared our struggles and successes. After lunch, we continued with more polynomial lessons in our next class, as we did with the other classes. Lastly, I helped monitor Ma’am Mishel’s advisory class during cleaning. By the end of the day, I felt exhausted but proud of my progress. Today’s lesson was on advanced algebraic concepts, and I was excited to see how much the students had absorbed in just a week. During the lesson, I had the opportunity to lead a small group activity, guiding students through challenging problems and encouraging them to think critically. It was gratifying to witness their progress and confidence in tackling complex mathematical problems.
