Download Importance of K-12 immersion and more Essays (high school) Economics in PDF only on Docsity! Before on-the-job training (ojt) or work immersion for senior high school, students don’t have that much knowledge about work immersion because of the thought that they will going to encounter it once they began to college. But, on-the-job training has been added to K-12 curriculum to help the students to have a good communication, teamwork, positive attitude towards co-workers, appreciate other people, prepare for the global community and job markets where second language is an asset, hands-on training or work simulation, develop good work habits, improve their capabilities, improve their employment prospects, enhance their cognitive and technical skills on what career they choose to have in the future, gain more knowledge about on-the-job training, discover themselves on their personal growth, and better understanding of its impact to their lives and their career choice. Since it’s still the 3rd batch to have a work immersion to K-12 curriculum, there are still lack of rules and regulations and advisers to teach students towards work immersion. This results for students to have a lack of knowledge, lack of communication, and bad habits towards their on-the-job training.
