INF 100 Role of Applications Reflections Essay INF 100 Fundamentals of Information Technology and Literacy The word processing software allows you to design and operate documents that contains mostly text, and it sometimes has graphics. A spreadsheet allows you to arrange the date that is in rows and columns and lets a user execute calculations on the data. With word processing you can create letters, memo, and mailing labels among a lot of other things. With a spreadsheet you can create, edit, and format worksheets as well as create a budget. The presentation allows a user to create a blank template which allows a user to add text, graphics, and or animations. The database allows a user to create, reserve, and control and search and extract the information that is contained within the database. The advantages of software can vary one advantage is that it meets the requirements of the user. No need for installation and the added security. The disadvantages could be that the price is too high for a certain license. It takes longer to develop. The application that was most appropriate for documenting my day was Microsoft Word. It was more appropriate because I was able to type the information in word which made it easier for me to document. When it comes to writing a paper, Microsoft Word is useful, when a person wants to create a presentation PowerPoint is
