INFO 300 FTP Instructions Spring 2006  Make sure you can login into your ftp site  You should submit ALL of you your assignments by ftp to the site on your sheet. Note, this is regular ftp, not sftp.  You will need to use your ID and password for each submission.  If you use a browser, you need to use Internet Explorer. Note that the page will appear blank when you first open it since your directory will be empty.  If you use a special purpose FTP program, your permissions should look something like this: https://www.ischool.drexel.edu/upload/faculty/ballen/COURSES/I300/0604/ sampleFTP.jpg  For the file names use your account number with the following. For instance, you would have s0020.p3.doc  Problem Set p1, p2, p3  Assignment a1, a2, a3, a4, a5  Battelle b1, b2  XML x1  Each file you submit will have a date and time stamp. I will use this date and time stamp to determine whether your assignment is on time. If you copy a file with the same name as a file that is already in the directory, you will wipe out the first file with that name so I’ll just use the date of the one that’s there (i.e., the last one)  If you want to submit an update of an assignment, append a suffix like .v2 or .v3  If, for some reason, you can’t upload an assignment, please send it as an attachment to the instructor.  Any detected attempts to hack this site will be considered an honor violation  I will scan copies of your quizzes and exams and place copies of them with comments in your folder.
