Introduction For a Lesson Plan This lesson involves mathematics. It is a lesson for specifically subtraction arithmetic. This lesson is intended for second or third grade levels and teaches children how to master subtraction in a fun way. The only materials needed for this activity is a few deck of cards. There should be one deck for every three students. The first step: The first step is to place the students in groups of three. The second step: Next have the three students sit together at a table in a triangle shape. Then pass out one deck of cards to each table, making sure that you have taken out all the face cards. The third step: Two of the students will be the ones who will guess while the third student will tell them what their cards equal. The two students who are guessing will now take one card from the deck and place it next to their ear so the two other students can see the card while they cannot. The fourth step: Now the third student looks at both of the cards and tells the two students the sum of their two cards.
