Short Paper 2: Writing a Review Draft, Friday, Feb 18th Workshop day, Monday, Feb 21st Due, Wed, Feb 23rd You have selected a war-related video game, board game or another representation of the war to review. Write a five-page review of the product. Make sure that in the course of your review you give an overview you discuss the expectations that you might have had going in (perhaps based on other examples of products in that class), the various aspects of the game, and how it “works” or doesn’t work as a stand-alone product. You should probably compare it to things in its class--other similar games, movies, board games, etc. Such a comparison will help you bring out the products relative strengths and weaknesses and will allow you to convey to your reader a sense of what is important (what you value--a la value claims) as you evaluate such a product. A product review like this, then, is also about you, whether you specifically talk about yourself or not, and I would like to see some of your personality, should you have one, appear in the paper. :) Finally, perhaps some sort of summary judgment should be passed. NO SPOILERS! Your paper will be evaluated will be judged on logic, grammar, attention to formatting, concision, organizational structure, vocabulary, and style, as well as on other qualities. Remember, you are ultimately making an evaluative argument and should be able to state that clearly.
