Myths OR Legends Final Project Directions: Write a Reader’s Theater (think: play) creative story that is undoubtedly either a MYTH or a LEGEND. You do NOT have to do both. Please don't do both. Please. Choose wisely and then immerse yourself in your genre completely! To complete this assignment, you must follow the guidelines below. Guidelines: • Choose your genre, get to know the specific guidelines for that genre, and then get to work! • You must turn in a printed version of your story (not electronic – VIR students can email theirs) • You must turn in your completed citation worksheet • You must have your story highlighted or noted as per the directions on your citation worksheet • You must turn in one detailed and effort-filled character sketch, full color I CHOOSE A MYTH! o 1000 word and Five Act (Each Act represents the Plot Chart: Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action, Resolution) original creative story with a word count included at the end in parentheses o Include one "real" god/goddess that you have researched and show his/her internal and external traits. o Include one "stupid" human and explain how they have angered or been punished by a god o Include a minimum of 5 characters (including the ones above) PLUS a Narrator o Include ancient/mythical settings o Include a mystery of nature and explain o Include a god/goddess abusing their power/control in some way o Include the explanation for the creation of something o Include on a separate piece of paper a detailed and effort-filled character sketch, full color, of your main character. o Attach your citation worksheet that is filled out completely with all directions followed.
