Research design This paper will use a narrative inquiry as a research design. This research design make use of human stories to understand the pattern and records the participant’s lived experiences or particular experiences, primarily through interviews. According to Deakin University, narrative inquiry can reveal unique perspective and deeper understanding of situation, often giving voice to marginalized populations whose perspectives are not often sought. The research participant We identified the participant through purposive sampling. He is also one of the HUMSS students who was in a lot of stress and difficulty when we transitioned to Self Learning Modules because of the pandemic. Fritz Kyle Garaganza Delaraga, we have known that he was in the verge of depression and had constant anxiety attacks because the new learning method and the lessons coupled with a lot of school work were too overwhelming for him. On top of it, he had to deal the aftermath of the typhoon Odette that affected their home and community while doing his best not to lag behind his studies. The ethical considerations On March 31, 2022, we started our interview with the participant through zoom meeting after securing his approval. Before we start our interview, we informed our participant about the purpose and procedure of our research, how his remarks will be used, what will be the outcome of the study, and the potential risks. We also gave him an assurance of anonymity and confidentiality wherein all of the information related or provided by the participant will be confidential and cannot be access by other people. He is also well informed that he is free to withdraw or cancel his cooperation any time without any harm. When the researchers finished, the transcriptions and finding were shown to the participant for confirmation and validation. Data collection The interview was conducted on Zoom Meeting on March 31, 2022 and it lasted for 1 hour and 25 minutes. With the cooperation of the participant, the entire interview became successful.
